#157: Co-Hosts Of The Toilet Seat Summit Reveal ALL!!
Description
Potentially one of the most fun & comedic Virtual Summits to date, Rachael & Lanie walk us through their Toilet Seat Summit where they talk about challenges & benefits to having a co-host and how using parody can be both a powerful tool and a curse. We cover a lot of amazing aspects that you can implement in your next summit on today’s episode of the virtual summit podcast.
About Lanie Lamarre And Rachel Kay Albers
Lanie Lamarre helps overwhelmed service-based bosses quit crying in the shower. The thing is that you're doing a lot in your business - in fact, you're probably DOING so much that you stopped tapping into what you got into this to HAVE and BE in the first place. Her approach is to show you how to use systems in a way that your time, energy and focus are aligned to your actual goals and desires.
Rachael Kay Albers is the creative director of RKA ink, a creative studio based outside Chicago, Rachael has helped hundreds of thought leaders and visionary entrepreneurs all over the world stand out online without selling their soul or playing the manipulation game.
When not crafting epic, unforgettable brands for her clients, Rachael hosts Awkward Marketing, a business comedy show blending fun-sized small business advice with storytelling and sketch comedy. Think of her as the one-woman SNL of biz TV.

Concept Of The Summit
✔️ Give you sustainable, clean, non-icky strategies that are actually gonna get work
Challenges With The Speakers
➡️ Some people they approached responded that is not on brand for them
How They Worked It Out
👉 They chose people that they knew had a sense of humor, were on board with their world view
👉 They put together a list of people that represented the values of the summit
👉 They chose them based on how they're showing up in their marketing and how that aligns with their values
How They Let Their Speakers Present In Their Summit
✔️ Let them do their thing
✔️ They followed Lanie’s and Rachael’s lead
✔️ They lead by example
✔️ They gave people the permission slip to let their freak flag fly
✔️ Warmed them up to the idea to be a little looser than they might have ever been
Challenges They Faced
➡️ Thinking and approaching work so differently
➡️ Wrong moves with their marketing
➡️ People thought their summit is not a real summit so no one was registering

"I believe in YOU & YOU can do this."
