Advantages Of Pre-recording Your Summits
✔️ You can edit whenever you make mistakes
✔️ You can edit when your speakers make mistakes or make unnecessary noise
✔️ You don’t have to worry about doing so much editing later
Livestream vs Pre-recorded
👉 Both work as long as you’re present and attentive
👉 Livestream
➡️ Pro - You’re allowed to interact with your audience right there
➡️ Con - Not all speakers are available when you’re wanting to do live
👉 Pre-recorded
➡️ Pro - Allows room for mistakes
➡️ Con - Your speakers are not able to respond and answer and ask questions
Summit Success Factors
❇️ Having speakers that you connected
❇️ Being authentic
❇️ People feeling like they got value from what you had to say
❇️ Ensuring that your speakers understand what their role is
❇️ Speakers that help market the summit
Biggest Challenge In Putting Her Summit Together
➡️ People were not delivering what they said they wanted to do
On Reaching Out To Speakers
✔️ Do your research
✔️ Be very clear of who you're serving and what you want to get out of your summit
✔️ Understand what your speakers are
✔️ Do a quick interest call so that way you can vet some of your speakers and know where they're coming from
Advice On Challenges With The Speakers
👉 Always have extra speakers
👉 Still have prerecorded sessions so that if a person doesn't show up, you can show the prerecording in your live sessions
👉 If you have a speaker that is not living up to what they are promising, then it's okay to tell them, I appreciate you, but I'm not going to be able to use you on this particular event, and then replace them with someone else
👉 Remember, this is your event and you don't have to be desperate
👉 There's a lot of people out there that's willing to support you and help you with your summit
What Summit Hosts Are Doing Incorrectly With Their Branding
➡️ A lot of them are not true to who they are, their brand
-
You want your summit to be a part of your visibility, your credibility, and your authority
-
You want to make sure your stuff is true to who you are
-
It doesn't have to have your exact same thing, but have your colors matching
-
Have a similarity in what you do
-
Make sure that there's some consistency in what you do
Monica's Final Piece Of Advice
"You can be a product of your environment or fruit of your labor. You decide. And I always say, decide to move. You don't have to let your past or things that you've been through to take who you are and where you go."
