Benefits Speakers Get In Summits
✔️ Values alignment
✔️ Organization
Summit No-Nos
➡️ List grabbing
➡️ Being unorganized

❇️ Figure out what is the through line, what is the overall problem and how can you organize those products into some kind of framework
❇️ Organized it into creating your offers, selling your offer,
❇️ Make it almost like modules

Not So Good Experiences On Swipe Copies
➡️ Overwhelming copies
➡️ Delivering copies in random ways
Creating A Swipe Copy For Speakers
✔️ Pull out a piece of paper
✔️ Do a mind map
✔️ Write in the center summit copy, swipe copy
✔️ Start brainstorming
-
Get clear on what is the copy you are going to create
-
Choose the copy you're going to create
-
Make a list of it
-
Do bullet points
-
Get the subject line out of your head
✔️ Create a first draft for each of your emails, each thing you’re creating a swipe copy for
-
Let that be the worst email you have written
-
A copy isn't about being fancy or clever or creative, it's about being clear
-
Normally the first thing that comes out of your mouth or your pen is the most clear
-
Overthinking it makes it end up complicated
Creating Quality Summit Emails
❇️ Subject lines
-
You've got to give people a couple of options of subject lines
-
One thing that speakers worry about is they are all going to be sending the same subject line
-
It creates some variety in the people sending emails about your summit
-
Brainstorm a list of them
-
Brainstorm around 10 subject lines then pick the two best ones
❇️ Make sure that there's intro pieces of who you are and what your summit is, but from the third person
-
Brag about your speakers
-
Creates trust
-
Make sure that you're really beefing up why you're amazing and writing that in the third person
❇️ Be clear where you want your speaker to insert their details and what details you want them to put
-
Don’t get overwhelmed
-
Why you said yes to this summit, but tell them you need them to input this information
-
This needs to come from them
-
They need to fill in the blanks for this email to make sense
Additional Strategy For Summit Hosts On Email Copies
👉 Have a trusted business friend to check your copy
👉 Ask them to give you feedback
-
I just want to make sure A, these emails make sense. B, would you take action on these? And C, if you would you send these to your audience and if not, why not? What would you change?
👉 Don’t take your copy personally
👉 Disassociate yourself from it while you're writing it
